Part of a set in 18K (750) yellow gold, comprising a necklace and a motif, with stamped, chased, polished and amatized foliage and gadroon decoration, adorned with oval pink topazes and pear-cut aquamarine pendants. Ram head hallmark (1819-1838), French work circa 1830. Gross weight: 28.9 g. (missing and repaired). In its original red and green tinted brown morocco case, stamped and gilded with a rhombus center decorated with a rosette and palmettes, velvet and silk interior (small tears and wear, damaged ribbons). Notes: A similarly decorated set, using both stamped gold and pink topaz, is in the Victoria & Albert Museum, under number M.36-1962. Expert: Cabinet Boutemy
