Charles PECRUS (1826-1907) Dining scene in the XVIIᵉ century Oil on panel Probably in its original frame Dimensions : 41 x 32 cm ; Overall dimensions : 73 x 62 cm. Charles Pécrus was a versatile painter, excelling in seascapes, landscapes and genre scenes. It was in the latter style that he met with particular success, culminating in the sale of one of his paintings to Emperor Napoleon III in 1865.
