Shooting prize saber for the year 1893. Luxurious frame derived from the 1882 infantry officer's model. Fully chased iron frame decorated with laurel leaf branches. Long-tailed cap assembled at the ferrule, engraved GP. Semi-enveloped five-point guard. Model 1882 light cavalry blade. Engraved with acid in the gutter "SOCIETE DE TIR DU 36E Regt Terr d'inf" "Concours 1e prix d'honneur revolver, A M GEProt S Lieutenant de Cavalerie". Back signed by the Châtellerault factory and the model. Nickel-plated steel scabbard with one suspension ring on strap. Complete with wallet-type canvas carrying case. France, Third Republic period.
